Samuel Fooks

Samuel (Sam) Fooks is a Developer and Data Engineer at the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), contributing to the European Digital Twin Ocean (EDITO) project. His experience is mostly in geospatial data processing, data engineering, and data analytics. He also has experience working with cloud native infrastructure, data spaces, and developing cloud-native applications. His work in EDITO focuses primarily on integrating data into the EDITO Data Lake and transforming geospatial data into Analysis Ready Cloud Optimized (ARCO) formats, to enhance accessibility for researchers and policymakers. He also guides contributors and researchers with deploying their applications and models onto EDITO and has developed some applications of his own as well.
