Alessandro Pititto

He is a Director at Cogea in charge of international and EU activities, and coordinates projects and studies for the European Commission. He focuses on socioeconomic studies and data management. Since 2013, he’s been the coordinator of EMODnet Human Activities, the European Marine Observation and Data Network. He has been involved in a number of projects and studies dealing with the blue economy, including, a study to measure the size of the blue economy, a study on the economic impact of maritime spatial planning, a market study on ocean energy, the European Market Observatory for Fishery and Aquaculture products (EUMOFA), and an ongoing study on blue skills. He also is the project manager of the EU Blue Economy Observatory
